Welcome to Family Holiday Cottages

Look for a sign at the end of our lane saying "Family Holiday Cottages

Please be aware that the G.P.S. can take you to the farm next to us, so please look for the sign at the end of your lane which says "Family Holiday Cottages"

Let me know in advance if you require someone to meet you at the cottage or whether you are alright with having the key left in the door for you. There will be a Q&A packet in the cottages. If you arrive early, please wait in the garden until the cottage are ready. Please let me know if you require towels which can be provided for a small fee but we suggest bringing your own due to supply. As a friendly reminder, if you are bringing a pet, we would appreciate it very much if you did not allow them upstairs. If you must, please bring covers for the bedding and seating upstairs and downstairs.  Please don't leave pets unattended in your cottage and have them kept on a leash while outside. Please bring slippers for the cottage. It will be a good idea to bring some basic foods with you like tea and milk etc, until you have a chance to buy locally.

The nearest shop for basic food shopping is 4 miles away at Mallwyd Petrol Station. So, traveling from your cottage, you turn right at the main road, from our drive and travel 4 miles, you will see a large black and white hotel called the Brigands Inn and will come to a mini round-a-bout, take the Welshpool Road exit (third exit) and 50 yards from the round-a-bout you will see the Petrol Station on the right hand side. For a larger shop, you will need to visit Machynlleth where they have the Co-opertive and Spar super markets....so  turn left at the end of the lane and follow the main road with  signs to Machynlleth,  a distance 9 miles.
Local places to eat, include the Penrhos Arms in Cemmaes, two minutes fro
m your cottage, The White Lion hotel in Machynlleth and a restaurant recently opened in Machynlleth called "21" which has a nice atmosphere and good food, even if the price is a little more. The address for your cottage is:

Ty Poeth,
Powys, SY20 9AA

Please look at the directions on this site.

In case of emergencies please call 999, For none emergencies email me at danielgwatkin@yahoo.com. For power outages please call 0014084799227.

At the end of your holiday leave the key in the door and take normal rubbish to the green bin at the end of our drive. Divide all recycling ( paper glass plastic and tin ) into the bins under the carport. It would also help us if you removed the linen from the beds and leave on the beds.

We look forward to meeting you on your holiday and making it a relaxing and enjoyable one and we hope you have a good trip to Wales
