Mid Wales has wonderful places to drive, here is a view of The Black Mountains around Bala.
Horse riding and lessons with livery services provided locally at Carreg Dressage farm

Guided rides can be arranged as an introduction to the local area.
There are miles of quiet country lanes, wooded bridleways
and ancient drovers roads to discover and explore while looking down on
the Dyfi River, often with distant views of the Irish Sea.
Biking in the Dyfi valley is well known and has become a mecca for mountain bikers from all around the country.
Minllyn Slate Quarries are a great place for riding and there are as many as 10 trails with miles of Bridleways and forestry tracks
Alpine atmosphere and rich trails are offered around Machynlleth area. Dyfimountainbiking has routes in the Mach area which can be seen in map form on their site.

We have three Golf courses near to us, the first one being Machynlleth Golf course 9 holes all good in fact 4 of the 9 are real testers, the cost is £18.00.
Aberdovey Golf Club has a 18 hole championship links course situated at the
mouth of the River Dyfi, sandwiched between the Cambrian Mountains and
Cardigan Bay.

Borth Golf Course was established
in 1885 and has a strong claim as the oldest course in Wales.
A
founder member of the Welsh Golfing Union this traditional links course
continues to provide a championship venue.

RIVER TWYMYN
Brynllugwy, Llanbrynmair, Powys, SY19 7AA The River Twymyn flows
from the 130 feet (40 m) high Ffrwd Fawr
Waterfall at the head of the Pennant Valley near
Dylife, through Llanbrynmair and joins the River
Dyfi upstream of Cemmaes Road. The river is stocked with
Brown trout, Salmon, and Sea trout. 2 wild trout

This section of the River Severn can be located by walking through Newtown Recreation Park. Permits can be obtained via Severnside and Newtown Angling Club. The river is stocked with Dace, Roach, Chub, Grayling, Brown trout, Salmon, Perch, Pike, Gudgeon, and Bream.
